Getting ready for ASCENT? Here is everything you need to know to make sure your group is ready.
THE PACKING LIST
Here is everything you need to know about what to bring to ASCENT. Feel free to send this to your group. Try to remember to pack your trailer or bus with one side, males, and the other females, since there will be two drop-off locations based on gender. Please bring a pillow and bedding (the camp only provides a mattress). CLICK HERE or the logo.
THEME, SPEAKERS, & BAND
ASCENT 2025 is set to feature dynamic new speakers (Aaron Box & Amy Ratzlaff) and a fresh worship band (Generation Worship), promising an engaging and spiritually enriching experience for attendees. The event will focus on deepening faith and fostering community among participants. Organizers are enthusiastic about the upcoming camp and encourage everyone to stay tuned for more updates.
DINNER THEMES (What to pack)
At dinner each night, there will be a unique and fun theme. Campers and counselors will be encouraged to dress up according to the dinner theme, which will also correspond with that evening’s late-night party. Encourage your group (including leaders) to pack their outfits.
REGISTRATION & GROUP CHANGES
The final deadline for registration is May 17 (after that, there is no guarantee that spots will be available). Please make sure all leaders AND students have registered by this date. If you need any registration changes, please contact us at info@usmbnextgen.com.

SWIMMING TEST
There is an optional swim test for ALL campers at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 7. The test is to ensure that all campers avoid wearing a life jacket while swimming. Anyone can swim, but without passing the test, they must wear a life jacket. This is the only time the test will take place; please plan accordingly.
LODGING INFO.
ASCENT staff will assign dorm locations for each church, separating genders. Due to the size of most dorms, it is planned for all males and all females to be housed in the same dorm, with up to 20 bunk beds in each room, and there are four rooms to a dorm. There will also be a “dorm leader” who will be responsible for enforcing rules like when lights will be out.
SNACK SHACK
RETURNING! Camp W.O.W. offers a snack shack where campers can purchase items like food, drinks, candy, ice cream, t-shirts, and more. Feel free to bring cash or a card if you want merch (t-shirts, etc.) or snacks for you or your friends during free time.
ASCENT SCHEDULE
Check out the detailed schedule for all things ASCENT. The big thing is that check-in begins around 2pm on Saturday, but you can show up anytime before supper at 6pm.

WIFI & CELL PHONE SIGNAL
As you learned last year, Camp W.O.W. was a great hosting camp, but one downside was the poor cell phone signal and no wifi for students. Click the logo to learn about the options available.
LATE NIGHTS
Late nights at Ascent are filled with fun and energy and ensure an unforgettable experience for all. Each night, a different option will be offered. So, whether you’re looking to make new friends, enjoy the great outdoors, or simply have a blast, late nights offer something for everyone.
