We are excited to announce our theme for 2021’s ASCENT.
HOME. Every soul on the planet has a deep longing for peace and satisfaction. Since the beginning of time, God has invited humanity to step into a pure, personal, and powerful relationship with Him to satisfy the deepest desires of our hearts.
This year’s theme will examine the idea of being home through the lens of God’s presence. We will explore how true intimacy with Jesus and abiding in Him impacts every aspect of one’s life, and provides the “at home” experience that every person longs for.
John 15:5, “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” (NLT)
We feel this is a multi-level meaning to this year’s theme of HOME. With the pandemic of 2020, most of the world spent time in their home more than ever, and yet we see teenagers longing for community, purpose, and connection. Our desire is for youth to deepen their abiding relationship with Jesus. And through that relationship, the love of Jesus overflows in every area of their lives, family, friends, and community. Our sessions and workshops will utilize this “remain in Christ” theme to give youth a better understanding of what an authentic relationship with Jesus looks like.
