Every part of the programming during ASCENT is designed to help students and leaders experience our faith in Jesus at a deeper level.  General sessions will be engaging times of worship, teaching, learning, and discovering.

SPEAKER: Justin McRoberts

Justin McRoberts is an author, coach, speaker, and songwriter. He is the author of six books, including the upcoming, Sacred Strides (May 2023).  For over 20 years, Justin has helped artists, ministers, and entrepreneurs find their way. From the stage, through his stories in books or during coaching sessions, he leans on his years of work and expertise as a minister and artist to help individuals and teams solve problems in their creative processes.  When he’s not writing, speaking, or coaching, you can find him as the host of the At Sea Podcast.  He lives in the East San Francisco Bay Area.

WORSHIP BAND: Wonderstate

Wonderstate is a high-energy worship band that spreads their love for Jesus and positive vibes from their hometown of Minneapolis to across the Midwest.  Formed in 2016, the group blends a wave of indie pop with a tinge of rock flare to form their signature sound. The band, which has toured across different swaths of the United States, has a goal to connect and build relationships with their listeners by sharing their passion for meaningful music and creating fun accepting atmospheres where fans can let it all go and  feel the memories of that moment. 

 

Wonderstate has worked with and opened for various artists such as: Tenth Avenue North, One Republic, Tyler Hubbard, Walk the Moon, Yam Haus, Mike Donehey, Land of Color, Unspoken and Britt Nicole.

SPECIAL GUEST: Nasser al'Qahtani

Nasser al’Qahtani, Multiply’s Regional Director of the Middle East and North Africa, is a gifted Bible teacher with an insiders’ perspective of Middle Eastern written and oral traditions. Coming out of an Islamic worldview, Nasser was captured by a vision of Jesus. Today, Nasser relentlessly points others to the Way, the Truth, and the Life in the Middle East, North Africa, and wherever the Spirit of God leads.
