The packing list seems like a simple thing but forgets one little item and now you have a big problem. So here is our list. Each church/group might add or change some of these items. But it is our recommendation that these items be considered when packing for ASCENT. The temperature most likely will be 80/90’s during the day and 60’s at night. IMPORTANT: The camp DO NOT provide bedding, only a mattress. So plan on bringing a pillow plus a sheet/blanket or sleeping bag.
There are tons of water activities so make sure you bring a swimsuit and towel!
Attire:
- Clothes for 4 days (temp will be upper 80’s)
- One pair of “hiking” clothes if you pan on hiking
- Pair of gym shoes (for various games or hiking)
- Jacket/Hoodie (it gets cold at night)
- Sunglasses (optional)
- Swimsuit (must be appropriate)
Bedding: (Camp only provides a mattress)
- Pillow
- Sheet & blanket OR sleeping bag
- Mattress cover (optional)
- Fan (optional)
Toiletries:
- Towel
- Shampoo/Conditioner
- Soap/Body Wash
- Deodorant (for sure!)
- Toothbrush/Toothpaste
- Sunscreen
Other Supplies:
- Pen/pencil
- Bible or Bible app (duh)
- Water bottle (one will be provided at the camp)
- Medication you need to take
- Snacks for the road (optional)
- Any specific items for white water rafting (optional)
- Extra spending money (they have snacks and souvenirs at the camp)
DO NOT BRING:
- Fireworks or explosives
- Drugs, vape material, or any alcohol
- Weapons of any kind
- Inappropriate t-shirts (anything referencing sex, drugs, alcohol, etc.)
- Negative attitude
